“Because it will always be like this” tells the story of a little brother that, day after day, realizes his older brother is allowed by his parents to do the things that he is forbidden to do. That is the reason why he decides to run away from home, but before doing that he wants to explain to his parents his reasons.
A moving and optimistic picture book.
“This text, which is made with short sentences and lots of parallelisms, provides the narration with an increasing thrill, perceived right from the cover, with the picture of the little boy facing his father’s huge figure. Its illustrations, made with acrylic painting and different colours crayon, show a family that is far from stereotypes: two parents that are ready to take seriously their son problems into account, instead of paying attention to the household chores that parents are usually associated with in other children’s books. The reader faces the text with a sense of excitement and knowing that Juan is going to get that final hug that will bring him safety to keep growing up. With this new picture book, Lóguez publishing house is again betting on a kind of literature that considers childhood without involving any protectionism, but with a huge respect to the youngest ones’ feelings” (Babar Magazine).
