Biography
Dieter Salzgeber was born Dühren (Germany) in 1958. He studied Education and worked as a teacher.
Since 1994, he is responsible for practical training courses aimed to art teachers in Gmünd (Germany).

Albrecht Dürer gave expression to fantasy and visionary ideas by means of paintings and etchings that are as brilliant as detailed studies of nature. The rhinoceros is one of his most well known etchings.
In 1515, Dürer heard about an Indian rhinoceros that had been shipped to Lisbon as a present for the Portuguese king. Using a rough sketch, he eventually drew this world famous piece of wood carving
Dieter Salzgeber narrates the process of creation of this masterpiece, Dürer’s life and the diverse journeys he made pursuing perfection.
