Heidi Hassenmüller was born in Hamburg (Germany). She studied Journalism and published her first book in 1985. Since then, she has been publishing her work in several German and Dutch publishing houses and collaborating for different newspapers and magazines.
Heidi Hassenmüller lives in Netherlands since 1974 and she has four children.
Heidi Hassenmüller narrates the story of Gaby, who was sexually abused by her step-father during many years, since she was six. The author has said about her book: “It is the story of my childhood, a childhood that I did not have… I have written it for all those girls that are in the same situation.
