Wienfried Opgenoorth was born in 1939 in Düsseldorf, where he studied at the Art Academy. Since 1972, he has been living and working in Vienna, as an illustrator and freelance designer. During the last 20 years he has illustrated many books for children and he has been awarded with the “Austrian Award”, given to his illustrations for children’s books.
