Roy Jackson introduces to us one of the fathers of philosophy, the most well-known thinker from Classic Greece, by using summaries of his works and revealing the influences his social and cultural background had on him, together with other authors that preceded him, highlighting the contributions that Socrates and other thinkers, like Pythagoras, made to his work, and studying him in relation to his historical and philosophical background.
